Reception staff were particularly helpful. Quiet location; reasonably close to the city centre and to the railway station.
Excellent room, probably recently refurbished. Everything fresh and comfortable large bed. Helpful and friendly staff.
Good clean hotel in a good location.
It ws not made clear during the booking that breakfast was not included, having booked online 3 times previously which did include I was surprised to find it had changed.
It was great having a swimming pool, hot tub etc...The room was very good. The bed was so comfortable. Tea making facilities etc... were good.
There didn't appear to be a lift. Which wasn't too bad but would have been much easier with one. Also they had silly door keys which you couldn't put in your pocket as they were much to big. My husband managed to lose it and it cost us £10 which was our fault but we have never had a problem with the usual credit card style door key as it fits in your wallett.
Staff friendly, close to town, our room was really spacious, excellent value and would stay there again when visiting Chichester.
There was no lift to the first floor so difficult to get heavy suitcase up the stairs, also the bed was a little hard for my liking.
Very convenient for city, buses, main roads etc.
We have stayed at the Chichester Park Hotel on several previous occasions. We find it ideal for our needs, being conveniently placed for visiting Chichester and surrounding area. However, while we enjoyed our stayagain this time we were concerned when booking on-line to discover that the cost is no longer on a bed-and-breakfast basis but room-only. This makes the Chichester Park less competitive and less attractive than before. We will actively seek the cost of alternative accommodation in order to compare prices when proposing to stay in the area in future.
The rooms were clean and well decorated, the staff were helpful and the hotel bar was quite nice. On-site parking was more than adequate.
Some minor gripes. The reception counter was often unattended, understandably, but they were sometimes quite slow to respond when called. Also the bath fittings in my room could do with updating. The rest of the bathroom was clean and modern, but the bath seemed out of date.
Spacious comfortable double ensuite room very comfortable bed Friendly staff Pleasant courtyard garden outside restaurant Competitively priced and over all - great value for money All the essentials in place here but see below
Hotel lacks character. Loud decoration fails to conceal bland and sterile feel. Reception looks a touch grubby. Unattractive grounds where the same is in evidence, albeit with dominating car park. If you ve paved over your front garden, this is for you ! Some may not appreciate bypassing main road at circumference of hotel grounds. Traffic noise can be heard in some rooms. Unkept ditch around perimeter of grounds with unmarked pedestrian access. Not as near to city centre as other hotels. Wrong side for beach.
The cleanliness, comfort and the accommodation of the hotel and the friendlyness of the staff were all first class. The restaurant was excellent with the standard of the freshly cooked meals to a "home made" quality but professionally presented with a choice of wines that did not break the bank. We intend returning in the near future.
I was born and raised in Chichester, so know the area well.. The hotel is exactly where we needed to stay for family busineess at this time. We had business at Goodwood aerodrome. The amount of car parking space was welcome. The bar evening snack was excellent. .
Our room - 226 - was/seemed a long way from the reception/restaurant area. The stairs to first floor were awkward for elderly people. The bar seemed rather small at times for the volume of demand.
Unsophisticated, unpretentious and roomy with curtains which actually keep out the light.
Poor noise screening between rooms!
The Breakfast and friendly staff.
Bit noisy with people going by the room talking loudly
Lovely pool, lovely garden seen from restaurant
Food overcomplicated, bar dismal and not a place to linger for a drink.
